  1. Oh that's nice!!!
Well I don't know if this is funny but, I will share it.
When I was in elementary school, my mom used to do the UGLIEST hairstyle ever on my head!!!
I don't even know how to start describing it...my hair was permed at the time...she'd put all my hair in a centered ponytail, it would be gelled (with that infamous black gel) up (extra crunchy after sitting under a dryer) and she would take colorful rubber bands and whip around this "ponytail"...at the end of the disaster..I ended up looking like Alfalfa from "The Little Rascals"...to say that it was embarrassing to walk down the halls is an understatement :).

  2. My funniest hair experience is cutting my hair when I was 6. I was in the bathroom playing around in the drawer and found a pair of scissors. Somehow I made my way to my ponytail and just chopped it off. I ran in the room to show my daddy and he goes "Oooh, your Mom is going to kill you!"... Needless to say my Mom wore me out when I got home and I NEVER did it again! lol

  3. my funniest hair experience is also my saddest. A few months before my prom, I decided to relax my own hair (I was cheap in High School) somehow in the weeks and days leading up to my prom, my hair fell out, right like a band around my whole head. From ear to ear. So on the morning of my prom, my mom took me early to a stylist who basically said the only thing to do was chop off my whole head and give me a wig or do some weird thing, where she would do a treatment around the band area and then do some spiral curls that would cover around the edges plus add a few hidden pieces. so I opted for that. 5 hours later I was good to go. My class decided to all meet at a huge garden to take pictures and so forth.... Lets just say, the moment, I stepped onto the grass and walked straight into the middle of the lawn, the automatic sprinklers went on. and just for good measures, the night went on to being even more perfect.....my dad forget to pick me up and I had a policemen offer to drive me to my prom (this was before cellphones - so I was late to my own prom) in the backseat, my one contact fell out just as dinner was being served, my dress tore at the only button it had on it and my sis forgot to pack my sandals thus leaving me with high heels that I hadn't broken into properly. Ohhhhhh and parents get to come to our formals, but at my table, only one set of parents bought 1 bottle of bubbly to be shared by 8 thirty 18 and 19 year olds. And we had a live feed to show our parents tables and ja our folks weren't cheap on their side!!!!!!!

This is only funny now, because I can look back and laugh with tears in my eyes. It would be another 7 years before I decide that maybe relaxing isn't it me.

  4. My funniest hair story ..and my mother aught to shamed! lol I was about 7 or 8, getting my neck and forehead burnt regularly with the hot comb at the kitchen stove.. when one day my mom asked me if I wanted 'curly hair or straight hair' Of course in my little mind I imagine huge ringlets cascading down my back and shout 'CURLS!'. I ended up with a jherri curl afro - I was the poor little girl wearing a shower cap to bed at sleep overs, lol

  6. Hmmm! As a child I used to want long "white girl hair" so bad. So I used to run around the house with a towel tied to my head, flicking it over my shoulders going, "so like...whatever" in my Alicia Silverstone voice.

  7. The best childhood hair stories begin with Momma going out of town! Mine did and that left Dad with the task of getting me dressed and ready for school. I was in the first grade and there was a little boy that I had a crush on named Ahmad. Naturally, I wanted to look my best, so when Dad asked what I wanted in my hair that morning, I said bangs! The poor man hadn't a clue how to use a comb on a girl's head much less a curling iron, but he was not one to be overcome by six year old or conventional gender stereotypes. He figured, "I can fix the electrical and plumbing in a house, surely I can fix this!" He parted my hair across the front of my head leaving quite a bit hanging in front of my face for the iron and then went to it. And as he released the iron I watched my hair bounce from my chin back up to my forehead to reveal the BIGGEST bang I had ever seen in my short little life. It covered my entire forehead, width and length. Thankfully, Ahmad thought it was cute. We played with the Barrel of Monkeys at break time that day :) And Dad, needless to say stuck with the plumbing from then on while I learned to curl my bangs myself.
