ReplyDeleteHi 'Anonymous'. I am totally clueless in the color hair department. I definitely need advice on what's safe to use to. Maybe I will do a post on hair color and see if any one can offer advice.
ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, I just only came across it this past Monday, and I've already gone through all the older post, I've also spread the word about your blog to my sister and friends. My sister even stated the you blog has inspired her to keep her locs, she's been on the fence about cutting them off.
I would also like to see instructional videos on different loc styles, especially updo’s and also info on locticians in the Bay Area as well, I to live in the Bay Area; Oakland to be exact. Please keep up the good work.

ReplyDeleteAnd I am so happy that your sister has decided to keep her loc's. Wow! I am so happy that she found some inspiration from my blog. I am sure each and every one of her locs are beautiful. If she is up for it, I would love to feature her on this blog. But only if she is comfortable. I want her to know how beautiful she is for committing to her loc style and showing others that it is ok to be who you are - and to just love it! Email me if she is up for being featured - naturalhairbeauty@gmail.com. I can even do it with out a picture unless she wants to include one. What a beautiful message - thank you again...

ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed visiting your website. It was informative, giving me more ideas of how to maintain my locs (which I've had for 10 yrs.) and assist me with the problem of thinning locs. Thank you. Can you help me, because although I oil my locs, they still tend to be excessively dry. How can I solve this problem. Layne
ReplyDeleteHello "Anonymous",
ReplyDeleteA big thing that really helps is wrapping your hair every night before laying down. We can loose a lot of moisture if our hair is not covered while sleeping. If the oil that you are using is not helping, you may need to switch to a different brand of hair oil. You can try African Pride Oil or Cantu Shea Butter (no drip) Hair & Scalp Oil. The Cantu is really nice because it really saturates your roots. Give one of these two oils a dry and continue to wrap your hair when ever possible, but especially at night before you go to sleep.
I wanted to let you know that I came accoss your blog and website today. I really like them both. I've been blogging for a few months now and been enjoying my natural hair journey (started January).

I have a Mii who looks like me and a Barbie would be a source of pride to showcase in my china cabinet. Please tell me how to get one. Keep up your good work. Vanessa

I've fallen deeply in love with the Egyptian sand scarf that you gave away in an earlier post. Could there be any reason to hope that you'd make a similar one that I could purchase from your etsy website?
