Oh wow, thanks so much for the love! This loc'd mohawk was created by Roshanda Wright at Amazon Hair Salon in Chicago (http://amazonsaloninc.com/; they are also on Facebook). I was actually able to keep this style in for about 2 weeks w/o it looking fuzzy. Definitely a great style for summer.
For those thinking about locing and not sure where to begin, my advice is just to start wherever you are. I did my big chop in 2002, but didn't start locing until 2005. You have to do it when you're ready and you don't need to do it right away. I had fun letting my hair grow out and playing with afros, twists and an occasional press n curl, lol.
