Nikki, creator of Beads, Braids and Beyond, has a beautiful blog where she highlights hair styles for little girls. I just recently noticed that Nikki has started adding step-by-step instructions on how to create each style. Wow! Thank you Nikki for taking the time to give us so much information on how to create beautiful hair styles for our little girls.
I just finished watching the Tyra episode on good hair and seeing the mothers who said that nappy hair was ugly so they permed their hair got me heated. If they took the time to look at sites like Beads, Braids, and Beyond they would see not only that the hair can be managed but also that its beautiful! I can't wait to have kids so I can love every nappy head on their head! and sites like Nikki's is so powerful to women who need that guidance. I hope she knows how important she is!

ReplyDeleteI was wondering how you got the curls to not get puffy. My neice has naturally curly hair and anytime I try to not put ponytails in it, it gets fuzzy and puffy like an afro.
