I love to read! But I have not done it in a while, because my book list is limited. One of my favorite Authors is Eric Jerome Dickey. He is a fabulous writer. I have never been disappointed by his work. But other than him, there are not many Authors that I am aware off. I need to expand my knowledge. Please let us know who your favorite Author is and why? Hopefully I will have a new list of books to look forward to reading. Thank you in advance if you have any suggestions.

I have so many favorite authors, including EJD. Have you read E. Lynn Harris? He is also pretty good! I like all kinds of books, I love Marian Keys, Sophie Kinsella, Emily Giffin, Karen G. Bates, Meg Cabot just to name a few! :) I read probably a book a week!
ReplyDeleteTo name a few; Lawrence Hill, Terry McMillan, and a new writer, Sophia Shaw. Oh, Nora Roberts...she started my book fetish.
ReplyDeleteThere are few authors that I like alot...but the ones that I love are: Edwidge Danticat, Octavia Butler, Kayla Perrin, Lolita Files, Zelda Lockhart, and Delores Phillips.
ReplyDeleteI'm an avid reader also. I'm not sure of the genre you're interested in but two authors that have never dissappointed me are Tananarive Due and Pearl Cleage. Tananarive Due has an ongoing saga of books but you need to start with the first "My Soul to Keep" I couldn't put it down. Pearl Cleage writes like a good friend telling you a story and has interesting titles like "What looks like Crazy" I hope you enjoy, these authors are probably in your local library.
ReplyDeleteCurrently my favorite author is Carl Weber. I guess it would depend on what your preference is as far as what type of literature you like to read. Carl Weber's novels are full of drama! Funny real life stuff going on in his novels. Kimberly Lawson Roby is also a good author. There's a Nappily Ever After Series out but I can't remember the author's name at this moment. I could go on & on since I've been on a reading tangent for the last year. I probably read a book a week, so this is a start for you. Mr. Weber will certainly have you laughing out loud.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! I am so happy to see all the response. I definitely have a large selection of Authors to choose from. I can't wait to start. Thank you again Ljkelly, SoulCry, Lola-Diana, Phoenix Rising & New2locs. It looks like my reading selection has just improved tremendously.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Ashley! I love to read! I use to read Eric Dickey, Nikki Turner, Kimberly Lawson books when i was in high school but, now i read more inspiring and knowledge books about relationship with God. Like The Shack by William Young is an awesome book because it is an "Out of the box" experience with God. Everyone needs to get that book. And now I'm reading The Present Darkness by Frank Peretti that talks about spiritual world in a fiction form. But these books are what I am reading because of my lifestyle now. So i hope you enjoy them if you pick them up. The Shack~
ReplyDeleteE. Lynn Harris, Francis Ray, Jenoyne Adams, Asha Bandele
ReplyDeleteI like Richard North Patterson, Pearl Cleage, and Terri L. Favish. There books are always good and make me think.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite author is Isabel Allende; if you love fiction you will love her books. Her books are very empowering to women and extremely creative. My favorite book from her is the house of the spirits!
