Wedding Hair

My wedding anniversary just past, and I am totally having flash backs to my beautiful wedding day. I wish I could re-live it all over again. A few days before my wedding, I did a test run with what hair style I wanted (in the picture above). And this is what I came up with. Very simple and very me. Needless to say, that when the big day actually came - I was so busy, excite and nervous at the same time, that I totally forgot to do my hair!! But thank goodness my make-up artist, Shonna Hall, hooked me up. It was a great day, and I have lots of great memories. Here are more pictures below, from my wedding. Our colors for the wedding were orange, peach, yellow, fuchsia and pink. Yes that's a lot of colors...lol. But it came out great.

  3. Thank you for posting your beautiful pictures. It was just what I needed to see as I've been contemplating taking my locs down. I don't really know why I want to take them down, maybe because I've recently come across a couple of people who've recently done it. Anyway, sometimes I feel limited with my hair because I pretty much maintain it on my own. I'm just ready for it to grow longer so I can do more with it. Please pray for me, Karen! And keep the pictures coming.

  4. Hi LA Jefferson. I read your comment this morning and did not have time to respond. But I thought about your response throughout the day. I completely understand where your coming from. Til this day, I have those "I am so bored with my hair" moments. But the next day I am so in love with my natural state and very grateful to have the ability to really represent who I am. I think a lot of us have these moments. The majority of the time this feeling passes. When it happens to me, I try to pull inspiration from by journals, and my "hair bibles" which are binders I created with tons of pictures of natural hair wearers. It's normal. But just hold on the knowledge that the moment will pass. Never make and drastic decisions unless you are sure you have fully thought it out. I am glad to hear that you feel inspired to keep your lovely loc's.
